Valerie is a recent graduate from the photography program at Rochester Institute of Technology. She was born and raised in the small town of Elma, New York where she was originally infused with a passion to feed her curiosity. From climbing trees as a child to climbing rocks and ice at present, she has always had an affinity for the great outdoors.

Sometimes she has a hard time deciding whether she wants to observe people or interact with them, but is intrigued regardless by cultural differences, social and environmental issues and the manipulation of society. She is not easily seduced by slick images, rather sees photography as a way to further develop a thought, an idea or an emotion.
